Mission: To “amend the Constitution in order to achieve a government truly of, by, and for the people."
Wisconsin United To Amend (WIUTA) is a non-partisan state network of concerned citizens dedicated to restoring our representative democracy, by minimizing the corruptive influence that money has on our political process.
Year Founded: 2010 • (608) 316-1792 • wisconsin@unitedtoamend.org • wiuta.org
Current Democracy Work
We seek to overturn Citizens United and related Supreme Court decisions so we may reclaim the liberties and privileges guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution for real people.
Recent Successes
United To Amend referenda appeared on 18 more ballots in communities around the state. The voter approvals for these referenda averaged 85%. A total of 95 Wisconsin communities have now called for a constitutional amendment. In total, 2.7 million people (46% of Wisconsinites) live in these jurisdictions. WIUTA is working to expand these numbers and bring more citizens into the democracy reform movement.
