Integrity Washington is committed to passing state Initiative 1464—the Washington Government Accountability Act—to increase political transparency, reduce the corrupting influence of big money, encourage voter participation, empower small donors, and strengthen ethics and campaign finance enforcement.
Current Democracy Work
Integrity Washington is currently working on restoring public trust and confidence in Washington by campaigning to pass the Washington Government Accountability Act (I-1464). It is recruiting volunteers to launch its “Yes on 1464” campaign to encourage people to vote YES at the ballot box in November. It keeps track of the campaign’s progress on its website covering campaign events, needs, media, and press. Integrity Washington partners with other money-out-of-politics organizations working to pass I-1464, including Progress Alliance of Washington, Take Back Our Republic, Represent.Us, and Every Voice.
Recent Successes
Integrity Washington completed the signature gathering phase to get I-1464 on the ballot. It gathered over 328,000 signatures and turned them in to the Washington Secretary of State on July 8, 2016. On August 2, the Washington Secretary of State certified I-1464 ensuring that it will be on the November 2016 ballot!
