MapLight

Mission: To “shine a light on our money-dominated political system so citizens can be more informed about the potential financial influences that affect their representatives’ votes.”

MapLight is a nonpartisan research organization that tracks money’s influence on politics.

Current Democracy Work

MapLight maintains free, real-time tools that track campaign contributions, lobbying, and other forms of political spending. By combining data on where politicians get their money with how they vote, MapLight reveals patterns of how money may influence the political process.
