Corn and Soy yield increase since 1961

In 1961, the world average yield for Corn (Maize) was 19,423 hg/ha and in 2010 it was 51,946 hg/ha. This is an increase of 167.45%, or 2.67 fold. In 1961, the world average yield for Soybeans was 11,286 hg/ha and in 2010 it was 25,839 hg/ha. This is an increase of 128.95%, or 2.29 fold.
