Girl Scouts fight to stop use of unsustainable palm oil in cookies
Beginning when they were in 7th grade, 2 Girl Scouts, Madison Vorva and Rhiannon Tomtishen, began fighting to stop the use of orangutan habitat-destroying palm oil in Girl Scout Cookies. They inspired 70,000 emails to the CEO of girl Scouts USA and the organization has pledged to move to sustainable sources by 2015.
