One bright spot on the nuclear horizon is that students at the University of California, with some help from our Foundation, have begun to find their voice on the issue of the UC managing and providing oversight to the US nuclear weapons laboratories. The students have established a Student Oversight Committee for the labs, and plan to conduct inspections and educate their fellow students on the dangers posed by the labs and the improper role of their university in making weapons capable of destroying the human species.
