Wheat and Rice yield increases since 1961


According to FAOSTAT, the production yield of wheat for 1961 was 8,507 hg/ha (hectogram/hectare), as opposed to the most recent (2010) level of 28,391 hg/ha. This is a 30% increase. According to FAOSTAT, the production yield of rice for 1961 was 15,419 hg/ha, as opposed to 2010's 33,826. This is an increase of 46%.
