EU is making progress with clean energy

A new report, The State of Renewable Energies in Europe, has revealed that the European Union is making progress in the alternative energy sector. Clean energy consumption went up from 2009 to 2010 by almost a whole percentage point; alternative energy now fuels 12.4% of the EU. This increase is not only helping the environment, but also boosting the economy by providing 1.11 million jobs to EU citizens.
