Manufacturing wind turbines helps to create jobs


In March 2012 in Western Michigan, a public forum for wind energy was held by the local Sierra club chapter and over a dozen other businesses and nonprofits. Sue Browne, the program manager for BlueGreen Alliance Michigan explained:

A wind turbine is made of over 8,000 parts. Manufacturing these wind turbines expands the number and quality of jobs in a "green" economy. It employs a number of professionals from iron workers to electricians.
