75 billion tons of fertile soil is lost every year

"Indeed, our most significant nonrenewable geo-resource is productive land and fertile soil. Nevertheless, each year an estimated 75 billion tons of fertile soil are lost. Desertification, land degradation and drought(DLDD) directly affect 1.5 billion people globally and have a disproportionate impact on women and children."
