Sustainet – a cooperative project to combat world hunger through sustainable agriculture: The German Council for Sustainable Development has put the problem on its agenda and as part of the Programme of Action 2015 of the Federal Government has launched the cooperative project Sustainet - Sustainable Agriculture Information Network. Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and supported by the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV) the aid organisations Brot für die Welt (Bread for the World), Deutsche Welthungerhilfe (German Agro Action), Misereor as well as the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH have joined forces with other partners to analyse the problem of often insufficient dissemination of promising approaches, and then to take action to find solutions.
