Exxon-Mobil fined in Scotland for failing to report carbon emissions

In Scotland, ExxonMobil was fined an incredible £2.8m for failing to report carbon emissions from one of their chemical plants, a breach of the European Union's emissions trading plan. One of the world's leading oil and gas companies is charged with one of the largest fees in history. The errors date back to 2010; the company has stated that immediately after the errors were discovered, they were reported to the regulator.
